Colossians chapter 1 verses 12-14
12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
The context of Verse 12 is us as (Believers) thanking the Father for he made us fit to share in the salvation belonging to the Saints, who are in the light. Thank God our father for the Light. The light according to this verse is the ethical condition in which Gods children (The saved believers) live, namely that of spiritual understanding, accompanied by morality and happiness.
The context of verse 13 is God who hath Delivered us (rescued us) from the power of darkness. The darkness in this verse refers to dominion of sin, evil wickedness, spiritual ignorance, immorality and misery. But “and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear son”.
“Translated” here means God has transferred believers from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of His beloved Son, our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. This signifies a change in allegiance and identity, where believers now belong to Christ’s kingdom. We are no longer of the world and of wickedness and sin. We are Transferred from darkness to the Light Jesus Christ.
The context of verse “14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:”
One of the most powerful verses in the Bible. The blood of Christ is the enormous price paid to secure our redemption.
Biblically, “secure redemption” refers to the certainty and assurance of being delivered from sin, death, and the power of the devil through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
The Blood of Christ is the only way to heaven.
Ephesians chapter 1 verse 7

Hebrews chapter 9 verse 22
22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
1 John chapter 1 verse 7
“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”
Revelation chapter 1 verse 5
“And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,”
Matthew chapter 26 verse 28
“For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”
